Problem Solving Interface

For my interface, I am documenting the wearing down of my shoe. Several factors come into play- different types of terrain my shoes walks on throughout the day, mileage, location and the weather. Each factor will be part of the navigation of my interface.

The main navigation would be through a timeline of my shoe via pictures I have taken each day. This timeline would be the index of my interface. Once the user picks a day, the next "stage" would be shown which would contain close up images of the shoe, a map showing the location the shoe has gone. The timeline would be a horizontal scrollover and each day would be a picture of the shoe with different types of terrain in the shoes' background, depending on the day.

However, the user would be introduced to a splash page before he/she gets to the index. The splash page would be a simple stopmotion of my shoes' lifespan. I may have a skip button but I'm not sure yet.
